At the beginning of the movie, we see a girl running through a jungle. She looks scared, as if someone is chasing her. Suddenly, we hear the sound of gunshots, and the girl falls to the ground after getting shot. The scene then cuts off, and we are taken to the story of this girl.
Her name is Julie, and she is the main character of the movie. The story goes back two months when Julie was stopped by a police officer for reckless driving. The officer, named David, is instantly attracted to Julie’s beauty. Instead of giving her a punishment, he simply warns her not to repeat the mistake and lets her go. During their conversation, David jokes and flirts with her.
Julie then goes to her hotel, where she works as a part-time. She is well-liked by everyone there because of her friendly nature. One of the regular customers, who really likes Julie, even gives her a $50 tip. The hotel’s chef also has feelings for her, and today, he asks her out on a date. However, Julie rejects his invitation, saying she is interested in someone else. In reality, she is attracted to David’s personality.
Coincidentally, David also arrives at the hotel. During their conversation, we learn that he is new to the city. Hearing this, Julie offers to show him around, and David happily agrees. That evening, they meet near a hotel, where David gives Julie a music box as a gift. Later, they go to a park, but the chef is also there, staring at Julie continuously. David notices this and asks Julie about him. He directly asks if she was interested in him before. Julie quickly clarifies that they were never involved and that she has no idea why he is staring at her. David seems a little uneasy and explains that he asked because he has been hurt in the past. He was in a relationship before, but his girlfriend cheated on him, and he doesn’t want to go through that pain again.
Days go by, and David and Julie continue to meet and grow closer. Eventually, Julie decides to introduce David to her mother. She invites him for dinner at her house. David’s friendly nature impresses Julie’s mom as well. During dinner, David asks for permission to take Julie out of the city for a day. Their family owns a small cabin in a peaceful town outside the city.

David and Julie talk about their childhood memories while looking at old pictures. David shares that he lost his parents at a young age and was later adopted by the sheriff. As they talk, he also opens up about his past failed relationship, which makes him feel very sad. But Julie, with her kind and cheerful nature, manages to lift his mood again.
Later, they return home, and days pass. Then, one day, we see that David secretly comes to Julie’s house and sits there waiting for her. When Julie arrives home, she is surprised to see him but doesn’t ask too many questions. However, David seems serious and warns her to stay away from the chef, saying that he doesn’t trust his intentions. Julie laughs and tells him not to worry so much, thinking he is overreacting. David doesn’t respond and just leaves quietly.
The next day, Julie’s friend Suzanne invites her over because she has to attend a party and needs someone to watch her daughter. Julie spends the whole day playing with the child and doesn’t realize how quickly time passes. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. When she opens it, she sees David, who looks very angry. He tells her that he had been calling her for hours, and she didn’t answer. He says he was really worried and insists that she come with him immediately. He also tells her that from now on, she must inform him whenever she goes somewhere.
Julie finds his behavior strange, and at that moment, Suzanne returns home. Seeing her, David leaves without saying a word. Suzanne, who heard the entire conversation, is also concerned about David’s behavior. The next day, Julie and Suzanne discuss over the phone whether Julie made a mistake by getting into a relationship with David. Just then, Julie receives a bouquet of roses from David, which makes her rethink everything.
At that moment, Julie hears a strange noise coming from her room. When she goes to check, she finds the music box that David had given her placed in the middle of her bed, along with a letter. She opens the letter, which says, “David is in the backyard.” Julie feels uneasy and rushes outside, only to actually find David standing there. She becomes more anxious, wondering why David keeps showing up unannounced.
Before she can say anything, David starts apologizing in a very odd way. He picks up a rose, brings it close to her neck, and says, “I am saying sorry, what more do you want? Please, let’s go on a date today.” But to Julie, it feels more like a threat than an invitation. Scared, she quickly goes back inside, where her mother is also present. She tells her everything that just happened.
Hearing this, Julie’s mom became very worried and decided to talk to David’s uncle, the sheriff.
In the next scene, the sheriff calls David to his office and questions him, “What am I hearing? You went to a girl’s house without permission and threatened her with a rose?”
David replies, “Oh no, Uncle! I just went to see my girlfriend. She’s exaggerating everything.” After saying this, he walks out of the office. However, his facial expressions clearly show that he is extremely angry.
Outside, a colleague of his approaches him and says, “I heard about Julie’s report. You shouldn’t let her control you. Don’t let her overpower you.” From the way she speaks, it is clear that she also likes David and wants to be with him.
A little later, Julie has to pick up her friend’s daughter from school. When she arrives, she realizes she is late, and to her shock, the child is nowhere to be found. Panicking, she starts calling out the child’s name. Just then, the little girl appears—but she is with David.
Julie immediately takes the child’s hand away from him. David, now angry, says, “You filed a completely unnecessary report with the police! Why did you have to do that?” Hearing this, Julie freezes in fear. She feels like David might do something terrible to her. Scared, she grabs the child and runs toward her car.
At that moment, the sheriff arrives and sees a terrified Julie and David standing behind her. He immediately realizes that David must have said something threatening. The sheriff warns David, “You don’t need to go near Julie anymore. Stay away from her. This is not going in a good direction.”
David is furious inside, but he doesn’t argue with his uncle. He simply nods and walks away. Meanwhile, Julie spends the entire day feeling anxious and disturbed. The chef at her hotel notices her stress and, after work, asks her, “Is something wrong, Julie?” However, Julie doesn’t say anything and leaves for home.
As she is driving out of the parking lot, suddenly, David appears right in front of her car. This makes it clear that he had been keeping an eye on her and had even seen her talking to the chef.
David aggressively demands that she get out of the car. But Julie knows that if she steps out, David could do anything. Terrified, she immediately starts the car and drives home.
As soon as she reaches home, she tells her mother everything—how David was following her, watching her, and even threatened her by standing in front of her car. Hearing this, her mom becomes even more frightened. She now realizes that things have gotten much more serious.
She immediately reported everything to David’s uncle, the sheriff. The sheriff decided to investigate, but he found out that David had been on duty the entire night with one of his colleagues. He hadn’t even gone near Julie’s hotel. This made the sheriff believe that Julie might be exaggerating things.
She was so terrified of David that she had started imagining him everywhere. Day or night, she always felt that he would suddenly appear and harm her. However, every time, it turned out to be just her fear.
But one day, her fears started turning into reality.
A car crashed into Julie’s car—first from the front, then from the side—hitting it so hard that her car spun off the road and crashed into a tree in the jungle. Later, it was revealed that the person who caused the accident was none other than David.
David pulled Julie out of her wrecked car and started threatening her. He had brought a bottle of alcohol with him and poured it all over the car, trying to make it look like Julie was drunk and crashed the car herself.
David then told Julie that he was furious because she had gone to meet his ex-girlfriend.
He forced Julie into his car and started driving away. Julie was terrified and had no idea what to do. To try and calm him down, she pretended to apologize. David didn’t respond, just kept driving.
On the way, Julie noticed two boys looking in her direction. She subtly nodded at them, hoping they would realize she needed help. But they didn’t react much.
After passing little bit distance, David stopped the car at an isolated location. He pulled Julie out and suddenly proposed to her. Julie knew that if she refused, things could turn very dangerous for her. So, she pretended to agree and acted like she was happy to be with him.
While keeping up the act, she slowly moved behind David, looking for a way to escape. The moment she saw an opportunity, she ran.
But David sensed her escape. By the time he turned around, Julie had already reached the other side of the road. Seeing this, David pulled out his gun.
When Julie saw the gun, she panicked and ran into the jungle. David started shooting at her.
This was the same chase scene that we had seen at the beginning of the movie. As she ran, two bullets hit Julie, and she collapsed in the jungle, unconscious.
David walked up to her and kicked her to check if she was still awake. When he saw that she was completely unresponsive, he left without even looking worried.
For a moment, it seemed like Julie was dead. But she wasn’t.
After some time, she regained consciousness. She tried to get up, but her body was too weak to move.
Back in the city, news spread quickly about Julie’s disappearance. Her wrecked car was found near the jungle, but her body was nowhere to be seen. This made her mother and the entire town extremely worried.
To investigate, the sheriff brought in an external investigator. After reviewing the case, David became the main suspect—he was the closest person to Julie, and their history made him look suspicious.
However, the sheriff still did not fully believe that David was responsible. He thought Julie tended to exaggerate things and wasn’t convinced that David could have done something so extreme.
But as the investigation continued, things started pointing directly at David.
There was no doubt left anymore.
The scene cuts back to Julie, who was lying injured in the jungle. Two hunters passed by nearby, and she wanted to call them for help. But she was so weak that she couldn’t even speak.
At this moment, Julie started thinking about her mom. She gathered all the strength left in her body and slowly opened her eyes.
At the same time, in another part of the city, Julie’s mom suddenly felt restless. She rushed to the police station and told the investigator, “I know my Julie is alive! I have a very strong feeling. Please find her!”
She also told the officer, “When I woke up, I could hear Julie’s voice.”
David overheard this conversation, and he panicked. He immediately rushed to the exact spot where he had shot Julie.
When he got there, he was completely shocked—Julie was gone! All he could see was fresh blood on the ground, meaning Julie was still alive.
David frantically started searching for her. But as he was looking around, he suddenly ran into the investigator.
The investigator questioned him, “What are you doing here? Weren’t you supposed to be on a mission with your team today?”
David, clearly nervous, quickly responded, “Yes, I was supposed to go, but then I suddenly thought of Julie. I remembered that she loves this place, so I came here to look for her.”
The investigator stared at him and said, “I’ve already searched this area. It’s my responsibility to find Julie. David, you don’t need to worry.”
For the first time, David realized that he was close to getting caught.
Meanwhile, back at the police station, the two boys who had seen Julie signaling for help finally stepped forward.
At first, they had been scared, but after two days of Julie being missing, they felt guilty. They started thinking, “Maybe this happened because they ignored her that day.”
So, they decided to tell the police everything.
After hearing their statement, the sheriff finally understood—David was behind Julie’s disappearance.
The sheriff immediately took over the case himself.
When they went to David’s house to question him, they found his house locked—he had already run away.
At the same time, the investigator went to David’s ex-girlfriend’s house.
The investigator asked David’s ex for any information on where he might be. But as soon as she heard David’s name, she became extremely scared.
After a lot of convincing, the investigator assured her, “We won’t involve you in this case. Just tell us where he might be.”
Finally, she told them about a family cabin David owned in a small town.
As soon as the investigator got this information, he immediately informed Julie’s mom.
Hearing this, Julie’s mom decided to go with them to find her daughter.
The scene then cuts to David, hiding in the cabin.
But suddenly, David heard a strange sound.
When he went closer to check, he saw that it was the same music box he had gifted to Julie.
At that moment, he immediately realized—Julie was here!
He quickly pulled out his gun and started searching for her.
But before he could react, Julie attacked him from behind with a metal rack, injuring him badly.
As soon as she struck him, Julie hid again, and David, now furious, started searching for her once more.
Just then, there was a knock on the door—it was the sheriff.
The sheriff said, “David, you are like a son to me. I don’t want to do this, but I have to stop you.”
Hearing this, David lost control. In a fit of rage, he attacked the sheriff with his gun, wounding him badly. The sheriff collapsed to the ground.
Now even angrier, David went back inside the cabin to find and kill Julie.
But once again, Julie acted smartly—she snuck up behind him and stabbed him in the neck with a sharp object.
Even though he was injured, David still didn’t die.
Julie, now desperate, grabbed a hunting gun.
David looked at her and said, “I am not ashamed of anything I did. I would have done this to you again and again.”
These words filled Julie with even more rage. She pulled the trigger to shoot David, but to her shock, the gun was empty.
Frustrated and furious, Julie used the gun itself as a weapon—she stabbed it straight into David’s chest, killing him on the spot.
Wounded and exhausted, Julie somehow managed to step outside. By then, the sun had risen.
She saw that the investigator and her mother had arrived.
Julie and the sheriff were immediately taken to the hospital, where they were both saved.
But David was dead.
In the Post-Credit Scene:
The movie reveals that this was based on a true story—this exact incident happened in 1995 in America to a girl named Laura.
The film was made as an awareness message to remind people never to blindly trust anyone.
