The film begins with Frida (Naomi Ackie) scrolling through her phone and discovering news and video interviews with billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum). Slater has been disgraced over the last year due to inappropriate behaviour, but he hopes that people will forgive him and move on.

Frida and her best friend Jess (Alia Shawkat) work as cocktail waitresses at a gala hosted by Slater’s company. After a while, Jess pulls out dresses that she smuggled in for her and Frida to wear as guests. Frida unintentionally draws attention to herself when her heel breaks and she falls into a waiter. Slater arrives and helps her get back on her feet, even breaking off the other heel to make her even. Slater charms Frida and introduces her to a group of his close, wealthy friends. In the evening, Slater asks Frida and Jess to come to his private island with him and the other people.
Rich who works as therapist (Kyle MacLachlan), Vic the photographer (Christian Slater), Cody who works as the private chef (Simon Rex), Tom the DJ (Haley Joel Osment), college graduate Lucas (Levon Hawke), Cody’s sort-of girlfriend reality TV star Sarah (Adria Arjona), party girls Camilla (Liz Caribel) and Heather (Trew Mullen), and Slater’s personal assistant Stacy (Geena Davis), who confiscates everyone’s phones upon a Frida goes to her room and finds a bottle of perfume, which she sprays herself with. A maid (Maria Elena Olivares) addresses her and can only say “red rabbit” to Frida.

While the other guests lounge and hang out by the pool, Frida joins Slater for a brief tour of the area. He claims there are snakes on the property that his employees must kill. Frida also tells him about her small business, which offers animal-themed nail art. They pass Stacy, who is carrying several red gift bags. They eat dinner with the other guests before taking MDMA droplets. When Frida wakes up in her bed next to Jess, she notices that the red stain on her dress has completely disappeared.

As they spend more time on the island, the guests appear to be having a good time, but Frida begins to have brief flashes of memory while waking up to things she has no memory of (unexplained dirt under her fingernails). Frida goes to return Slater’s vape pen to him, and he “introduces” her to Rich, despite the fact that she remembers meeting him at the gala the night before. Meanwhile, Jess begins to notice strange things and becomes suspicious when she sees the maid who spoke to Frida taking care of some of the snakes.

Jess yells after a snake bites her hand during the group’s nighttime party. Slater kills the snake before treating Jess’s wound. She privately tells Frida that she believes something is wrong on the island. Before she returns to her room, Jess develops a nosebleed.

The next day, Frida searches for Slater and runs into the maid again. She offers Frida a liquor made from snake venom. Frida drinks some and complains about its strong flavour. Later on, she notices Sarah has a mysterious bruise on her arm, and Frida notices that not only is Jess missing, but people like Camilla and Heather don’t seem to remember Jess being there, despite the fact that they are using the same lighter that Jess has shared with them throughout the trip. When Frida returns to her room, she discovers a knife hidden behind the mirror, along with a brief flashback of Jess instructing her to hide the knife.

Frida consults Sarah, who has also begun to suspect that something is wrong. Frida brings her into the room with the red gift bags she discovered before grabbing more of the snake venom liquor and giving it to Sarah. They realise that the flower used to make the perfume for the ladies is causing them to forget something, whereas the snake venom may help them remember. They then trick Camilla and Heather into drinking it by combining it with tequila and making shots. Stacy eventually joins them and drinks some of it, too.

While everyone is getting drunk, Frida sneaks into Slater’s office to retrieve their phones, while Sarah attempts to signal her in case something happens. Frida hides when Slater arrives with Stacy and his bodyguard Stan (Cris Costa). Frida discovers some travel photos among Slater’s belongings. Frida then develops a nosebleed and recalls seeing herself and the other ladies tied up and terrified. Jess was recalling everything, so Slater had Stan snap her neck. Frida escapes and tells Sarah what she has learnt.

During dinner, Frida begins to remember everything. The men have been raping the women and using perfume to make them forget what occurred. Rich had recently assaulted Frida, so he was surprised to see that she recognised him. Frida and Sarah start getting everyone to dance so they can plan their next move. Camilla and Heather’s memories return quickly, resulting in Camilla stabbing Tom in the neck and killing him, and Heather attempting to bludgeon Vic with a chessboard before Stan shoots her in the head. Stan finds Frida and tries to execute her, but Sarah kills him with a rock.

The remaining men have kidnapped Camilla in Slater’s villa before stepping on her neck until she stops breathing. Frida is discovered by Stacy, who is enraged that Frida made her remember what the men did to her. Stacy attacks Frida, who stabs Stacy in the heart. Sarah confronts Cody in the woods and kills him. Lucas, the only one who was not involved in the atrocities, begins to recall what he witnessed the men do. Frida and Sarah appear outside to confront Slater. When Lucas opens the door, he is shot in the head.

When Frida enters the villa, she fights Slater briefly until more memories return. She was on the island the previous year and managed to escape, but she had forgotten what happened to her. She got a scar on her head after Slater let her fall onto a rock, and she also bit Vic’s pinky. Slater goes on a rant and hits his vape pen once more before slashing Sarah’s throat. He soon becomes disoriented after Frida puts the flower toxin in his vape pen to make him forget. When Slater sees the dead bodies all around him, he panics and knocks over some candles, causing the villa to catch fire. Frida drags Slater out, while Vic is left to die inside. Frida appears to be speaking with Sarah next to her, but when the camera pans out, she is alone with an unconscious Slater, watching the house burn down.

Frida rejoins Slater at a gala event, but he is still kept compliant by the flower toxin in his vape pen. Frida sees Rich again, who appears concerned that she remembers him. The event’s host then introduces Frida as Slater’s wife and the CEO of his company.
